The 'SERUM' series of photographs includes images of ingestion, drugs and mutation. Several of the subjects are inanimate objects treated as if they embody life.

 

The photograph Drink (at lower right) includes the character from the video Airlock of the previous year. Smoke (center, second row) contains an example of the endurance tests in some of Charlesworth's photographs, films, videos and performances. In this case, it's smoking while partially underwater.

 

These images were taken with the same medium format film camera used for previous work, but printed from digital files.
